Dr. Julia Katsev
We are pleased to announce Dr. Katsev as part of our Semel Vision Care and Aesthetics team.
Dr. Katsev joined the practice in 2023. She is originally from Santa Barbara and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She then moved to St. Louis, Missouri, for optometry school at UMSL College of Optometry. After graduation she did a residency in ocular disease, focusing on glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eye, at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Katsev then joined her now-husband, Dr. Eric Larson, while he finished up his orthopedic residency and hand surgery fellowship. Dr. Larson joined Sports & Spine Orthopedics in the South Bay in 2022, and they are excited to join this wonderful community. Outside of work Dr. Katsev loves to run, play tennis, and spend time with family.
