What Causes Crow’s Feet?
Crow’s feet are dynamic wrinkles caused primarily by the contraction of the muscles around the eyes, particularly the orbicularis oculi muscle. Every time you smile, laugh, squint, or make certain facial expressions, these muscles pull on the skin at the outer corners of the eyes.
In younger skin, these expression lines disappear once the muscles relax. Over time, however, the cumulative effect of years of repeated muscle movement combined with natural collagen loss, sun exposure, and the aging process can cause the lines to become more noticeable and eventually remain visible even when the face is at rest.
How BOTOX® Treats Crow’s Feet
